CHAIR AND LEAD CONSULTANT : AGRI-FOOD
Geraint Hughes
Geraint has 20 years experience working closely with agri-food enterprises across Wales and the UK making ideas happen and finding resolutions for challenges.
Geraint's achievements include launching the first crisps brand committed to sourcing potatoes from Wales, first to develop and launch cold-pressed rapeseed oil in Wales and the only person so far to hold Home Office licence to grow hemp specifically in Wales!
Key competencies include: innovation, supply chain development and developing agritech opportunities
LEAD CONSULTANT : EDUCATION
Meinir Lloyd Jones
As an Education Consultant and mentor, Meinir has supported individuals and groups, providing clear guidance, support and motivation. A registered inspector with Estyn, Meinir is passionate about supporting the continued renewal and reform of the education system in Wales.
Meinir's achievements include cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats, walking all 190 Nuttall 2000ft mountains in Wales and being crowned mezzo-Soprano winner at the National Eisteddfod of Wales!
Key competencies include: educational consultancy, mentoring and evaluating, and group support.
CEO AND LEAD CONSULTANT : COMMUNITY
Zoe Pritchard
Zoe has 13 years’ experience working in both the local economy sector, as well as community development in Wales. A passion for rural communities taking advantage of digital innovation, the circular economy and re- diversification.
Zoe's achievements include representing the UK in 2008 at the “Learning from the future: Middle East Economic Forum” in Dubai and composing a music score for piano, which was performed by the BBC Wales Orchestra.
Key competencies include: project design and management, supporting your communications, monitoring and evaluating.
SENIOR CONSULTANT: MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
Rhian Floyd
With over six years’ experience in the PR and communications industry — and as account lead on a number of high-profile clients — you’ll be in safe hands with Rhian.
Rhian’s linguistic skills allow her to communicate effectively in both English and Welsh, whilst adapting to varying audiences — including in a crisis. And with a keen eye for detail, every word Rhian writes will be as purposeful as the next.
She is also an ILM-accredited trainer, having trained a number of clients and stakeholders in media relations and social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok) since 2018 — including Welsh Parliament and Welsh Government staff.
Key competencies include: Media relations, bilingual copywriting, organic and paid content creation.
LEAD CONSULTANT : SUSTAINABILITY
John Owen
John has over 40 years of experience in the agricultural industry he is passionate about Wales, the Welsh language and the rural communities that he has lived and worked in all his life. He has a long history of supporting the agricultural industry and encouraging economic and environmental sustainability, and considers himself to be a custodian of a sustainable countryside.
John’s career in agriculture has always involved the dissemination of good practice, working within agricultural educational establishments, initially focusing on commerciality and moving into research, development and extension.
LEAD CONSULTANT: RESEARCH AND EVALUATION
DESIGNER
Sue Arnold
With a deep routed passion for layout, typography and branding, Sue has worked alongside some of the World’s best designers and developers during her career whilst keeping her feet firmly on Welsh soil.
A classically trained graphic designer, Sue started her career designing magazine adverts, brochures and catalogues for companies in the equestrian industry but quickly saw an opportunity to add a new string to her bow when HTML and CSS was in its infancy and learnt to write code and design for the web.
Key competencies include: branding, graphic design, and website design and e-commerce platforms
DIGITAL MARKETING OFFICER
Ceri Lloyd
Ceri thrives on helping businesses market authentically, forging genuine connections with customers and driving organic growth through the power of strategic marketing, storytelling, and meaningful engagement.
She is passionate about helping businesses develop clear, consistent marketing strategies using creative campaigns; Ceri will always focus on turning stories into strong, sustainable brands.
Key competencies include: brand building, digital marketing, bilingual content creation, organic audience growth and community development, creative campaign development and storytelling.
Irfan Rais
Irfan is an experienced researcher and creative content producer who has experience working with clients in Singapore, Wales, and the UK. Irfan is particularly interested in using creative and tech-based solutions to support the rural economy. He has successfully delivered creative and innovative projects in the arts and civil service sectors.
Irfan's achievements include sitting on a 37-hour train from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi and appearing on Noson Lawen!
Key competencies include: innovation, project design and management, and group support.
CONTENT CREATOR
Carwyn Rhys Jones
Carwyn has worked with communities, public bodies, broadcasters and arts organisations, helping to translate complex or sensitive subjects into visual stories that feel accessible and engaging. His approach is thoughtful and collaborative, creating space for people to feel comfortable, confident and genuinely represented on camera.
With a background in documentary filmmaking, Carwyn is used to shaping projects from the ground up — from early concept and development through to filming, editing and final delivery. Whether working on a short film, a campaign or a longer-form piece, he brings a calm, grounded approach that keeps both the creative and the people involved at the centre of the work.
At Lafan Creu, Carwyn leads on photography and video, supporting clients to tell their stories in a way that feels real, visually strong and rooted in place.
Key competencies include: Documentary filmmaking & visual storytelling, community engagement & creative facilitation, photography & film production, drone operation & aerial filming, digital content & social media
DIGITAL MARKETING OFFICER
Heledd Morgan
Heledd’s background is in graphic design and digital marketing, graduating from the University of South Wales before joining Clogau Gold of Wales. There, she developed her skills across both design and marketing, working on campaigns that balanced brand, story and commercial impact.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Heledd was part of a small core team tasked with keeping the business moving. It was a challenging period, but one that saw her step into a more senior role, leading on marketing activity and helping to maintain momentum at a time when it mattered most.
At Lafan Creu, Heledd works across content, social media and design — bringing together creativity and clarity to produce work that connects with people and delivers real value.

SYSTEMS AND NETWORKS OFFICER
Helen Benjamin
Helen is adept at managing and executing successful projects across diverse industries. With a background as an administrative leader and team manager, she brings forth a strategic mindset and innovative approach to project management.
Helen has held pivotal roles in various organisations, including supporting the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales with administration and ensuring compliance with governance regulations. At Business Wales, she conducted workshops and offered tailored guidance to SMEs, facilitating their success in securing tenders across public and private sectors.
Key competencies include: project management, strategic leadership, creative problem-solving, collaboration.
CO-ORDINATOR AND EVENT ORGANISER
Heulwen Williams
Heulwen has 35 years of experience as office manager, having undertaken administrative and organisational roles. At Lafan, Heulwen has worked supporting networking and cohesion among specialist groups such as horticulture and food producers. She has also supported environmental improvement, community owned buildings and sustainable development projects.
Heulwen’s achievements include being a member of the National Eisteddfod Gorsedd of the Bards and being a founding member and secretary of ‘Dinasyddion,’ a community group established to encourage community based activities.
Key competencies include: group support and supporting your communications.
SENIOR PROJECT OFFICER
Alun Roberts
Alun has over 30 years of experience supporting individuals to start and develop businesses, as well as developing and implementing plans to regenerate towns. He has extensive experience in helping individuals establish community groups and supporting them to secure grant funding from various sources.
Through years of hands-on experience in bringing life back to Holyhead town centre, he is able to share his experiences with other towns and cities that want to see better days return to their area. With his experience of supporting over 500 new businesses, he has a wealth of knowledge about the main challenges of starting and developing a business.
Key competencies include: planning and implementing steps to regenerate towns, onsistent collaboration with local government regeneration officers and the Welsh Government, and expertise in supporting the establishment and development of businesses.
LEAD CONSULTANT : MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION
Beth Woodhouse
In 2020, Beth set up her own full service marketing agency which developed into an agency of prestige and substance. Her vision was, and still is, to provide businesses with the marketing tools they need to further grow their businesses.
In September 2024, she decided to join forces with the Lafan consultancy to build on previous collaboration and to offer a wider range of marketing and communication services. This new part of Lafan will be referred to as 'Lafan Creu.’
